Debra
K Designs Inc. is a sole proprietorship wholesale
jewellery design business and the inspiration
of Debra Chambers, an accomplished oil and
acrylic artist.
Debra's
early experimentation with beads for herself
soon led to requests from others to purchase.
An initial offering of a portfolio of bracelets,
earrings and necklaces in 2002 to three Victoria,
BC retailers -- an upscale clothing boutique,
Hughes Ltd., a gallery, The Gallery at Matticks
Farm, and a home accents store, Romanoff and
Co. - launched Debra K Designs.
In
the spring of 2003, a Calgary client offered to take the
designs to Calgary and secured two boutiques, Presenting
Italy and Park Ave.
In the fall of 2004 , Debra K Designs expanded
to additional stores in Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg,
and Vancouver and is now offered through The
Fairmont Hotels in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.
Select specialty retailers are gradually being
added across North America.
The jewellery continues to be successfully offered through
these retailers, showing good progression in sales, especially
as the line expands.
